Yes, it definately happens. I called Verizon and they sent me a free replacement, but it was the plastic snap in type plastic holster, which I did not like as well since it does not give the face of the phone any protection. So I went back to using the magnetic case, I am just more careful now. When I open the flap, I now open the flap all the way and place my hand over the magnet as I am pulling the phone out. This now keeps the magnet from having close enough contact to cause the call to drop.

Does it seem to matter if the phone is facing you or it facing outward?. Also were you using the kind of pouch that is vertical or horizonal?. It seems to me the veritcal one would expose the phone to more of a magnet field as it is brought out of the case.
