Freezing issue
I received three of these phones on a shareplan. Two of the phones had software version T53VZV02 and one had T53vzv03. All three had the issue that requires the user to remove the battery and reboot. Rebooting the phone once daily as some suggested did not prevent the phone from locking up.
I called LG customer service about the issue. They said that it was a software problem and said Verizon would have to deal with it. Verizon has received other reports of this problem but as far as I know does not have a fix.
Hopefully if anyone hears of a fix for this problem they can post some info in this thread. I will do the same. I would almost prefer to use this VX-5300 over my VX-8300 as I think the build quality is much better and I really do not have an interest in EVDO.
I have had no luck narrowing down exactly what causes these lockups. They appear to be random. I however do not believe in random lockups. I just think they seem random because I haven't found the common thread. I would be interested to here experiences of others on this topic. Maybe we can get to the bottom of this and bring reliability to what could be a great phone.
