Forgive my ignorance but I sure could use help on getting a MP3 ringtone I have on my PC to my 5300. I am not a cell phone pro so I need details or a link to a "phones for dummies".

1) Go to mobile17.smashsworld.com - upload your mp3 & ringtone is sent back attached to a txt msg. Service is free but Verizon charges for txt msg. Sound quality is medium-poor.
2a) Buy a USB cable + driver. I got a 5200 cable for $4 inc S&H from http://stores.ebay.com/SmartStation then filed off the middle bump so it fits the 5300.
2b)Download BitPIM and wait for them to support the 5300. Other have reported that the 8300 profile or Filesystem works, but not for me ☹️ - maybe my cable or driver?? - anyone know how I can tell? Shows up as 3 devices in WinXP Device Manager, just like the 5200 does.
My cable & BitPIM work great with my wife's 5200.
