Walmart has it and it is now October 26th and it has been released for almost a week by now. Don't be fouled by walmart's zip code checker, check at Verizon's website under inpulse to see if it works, not at walmart, they told me it would work 😢 so i checked at Verizon's website and it told me that it would work. Just a heads up 😉

Does anyone know if this phone can be used on the post pay plan? Like if I can take it and have it activated on my already existing contract?

Verizon allows you to activate any Verizon phone by going to My Account, Activate Phone and entering the Serial Number (follow instructions). If you buy it from Walmart, however it may not work with Verizon. What you can try is to go to Walmart and copy down the serial number from a display phone or ask them to let you copy one from a box, then go home and try to enter it on the site. It it works, you're good to go. Don't worry about changing right back to your old phone, I've done it many times without a problem.

I went to a verizon store and they said that they are now making these phones so that they can't be activated on anything but a prepaid account, the phones are now locked so that even the verizon stores can't activate them. They even looked this one up for me and they said that there is no way that I could use this model on my plan, and that pretty much every phone on any prepaid plan is being made that way now. Too bad, because I really like this phone, and it's a great price!

From past experience, I would take advice from Verizon stores with a grain of salt. I have been able to accomplish many things that the stores had no idea about, or did not want to reveal. Search the forums and you'll find the same. I'd pay Walmart a visit and see where it goes. Good luck 🙂
