I gotta admit, it takes balls to jerk around the largest consumer market for your product for 9 months and still expect them to buy your antiques. I am going to buy a competitor today, hp can kiss my a55

I agree, they have been milking this thing until the last drop. People are getting sick of waiting. Theres got to be another option besides this. Anybody got any suggestions? without having to switch from GSM?

It's not HP, it's Cingular. HP is already selling the phone elsewhere in the world.

I've been using mine on T-Mobile for nearly 2 months now.

Hi mm42. I already said I am going to go ahead and by the 6915 if HP doesn't sell in another week or two. I have T-Mobile too and can you tell me what services you have? How the GPS works and an overall opinion? Would love to hear what you think.

I have a hw6910 - can't carry a camera into a lot of places where I work.

I have t-zones $4.99 plan and T-Mobile Hotspots. I am supposed to be converting to Total Internet but my secretary hasn't set it up yet.

GPS works fine - the GPS quick start makes it locate the satellites and start working faster than my Garmin unit. It's also very good at getting a signal, even indoors sometimes.

I had a hw6510, and this unit is a big improvement. Keyboard is much better, backlight is MUCH better, and WM5 makes one-handed operation a lot easier.

The phone reception is great. Phone functionality is still poor - speed dial is a joke, for instance. I miss the speed dial functionality of my old Treo 650.

Thanks for the info mm42. I forgot to ask.. are you in the US? Did you buy it in the US? I saw a couple of places here selling it for around $850.00 I always forget how global these forums are. HP is saying the release is this week (my post above) but if they don't I am going to go ahead and get the UK version.

Yes - I am in Atlanta, GA. I bought a UK version from MobilePlanet. The hw6910 (w/o camera) is significantly cheaper - mine was almost $200 less than the hw6915 from the same source. MobilePlanet is not cheap but I bought it on my expense account.

If I were spending my own money I would have looked at these guys:

Several folks have reported good service from them and the price for a hw6915 comes to a little under $700.

Excellent and thanks MM. You have made me a lot more relaxed in my future dealings with Tmobile when I get either of the models. I did call them a few months ago and spoke with the PDA tech dept. and they seemed prepared to deal with the HP when I acquire it. And thanks for the directions on the purchase too. I am giving HP this week then it's the 6915. Can't wait around any longer.

Cingular is not the only game in town. If they hold up the process for whatever their reasons are from selling it in their stores so be it, BUT T-mobile could sell it as well as other carriers. Even HP could carry it on their website in the US.

I bet there will be some press release stating high demand and low production, but that is bullsh!t I can smell from here.

Anyone knows that gsm is gsm and even if they don't sell it at your carrier, you can still buy the phone and put in your chip. I have done this numerous times already with phones that were loaned to me for photoshoots. I have a Sharp GX25 Ferrari-branded phone that will never see the US market, and it works great despite what Cingular reps would tell me otherwise.

i agree. It cant be cingulars fault, or any carriers fault for that matter. Any carrier would jump on this phone for exclusivity or shared rights, so why hasnt it come out yet. After almost 5 months, its still not out.

There are only 2 GSM carriers in the US. T-Mobile has no interest in HP phones - they didn't even carry the last one. HP has to deal with Cingular, virtually none of the US market buys phones without a contract discount.

HP wants to sell the phone, as evidenced by the international availability.
