You know what. After reviewing all my bitching and crying on this site and waiting for months, I decided I am going to just give them a couple of more weeks. There are plenty of websites offering the 6915 for sale unlocked and I am going to buy that one. It seems obvious from most of you in the know here the hold up is either political or cost driven. Not for some bugs or part failure. I looked at the spec sheets and cannot see any difference between the 6915 and 6940 other than the mapping software.

I agree, i too have seen it for sale in the US for several weeks now, which leads me to believe it will be released soon. However, buying it elsewhere seems illogical, to me at least. The 900$ price tag is a little steep. I will wait a little longer also, but damn my LG sucks!! 🤣

I imagine the almost 900.00 price is going to be close to the US price for unlocked. Cheaper if branded. Jeeze I remember I paid almost a grand for a 3900 series Ipaq (still use it) a few years ago when it first came out and it wasn't a phone and didn't have wifi or bluetooth. Had to buy the expansion sleeve for a cf slot to use a wifi card. Very glad you mentioned the LG sucks almost bought one a while back. Whew! Use the above Ipaq and a Nokia 6600 now so can't wait much longer to merge the use of both of them into the 6900.

well realistically it cant be more then 500 branded with cingular, nobody will buy it. I was on cingular earlier this year but switched to verizon because of the treo 700W, but my bill was crazy expensive so i switched back and am now waiting for this. They have to compete right, cant slap a big price tag like 900, 800 or even 700 when selling at a cingular store, most people cant afford it.

I think it should be priced at or below 500, I think that is what the 6515 was at. With this phone not having any new tech they neede to discount it. I bought my V551 when it first came out for like 250 anf like a few months later it was like 99 then 70 and now it is one of the free rebate phones practically.

If you read some of the new post. Someone has said the the reason for the delay is that the phone has failed testing standrds by Cingular. But if the specs are the same as the 6515 why would it have failed?

I have been reading alot of sites that say the same thing about the labor day weekend release. I dont know whether it is worthwhile to believe them, but who knoes? This thing may be dawning upon us. 😲
