External screen question

Can anyone who has this phone tell me if the external window stays lit up when the phone is open and you are actually on a call? I can't find this phone in any of the local Verizon stores yet. Thanks

I didn't pay special attention but exteranl window definetly comes to life when the phone is opened or closed. After some time it switches off. I still didn't find what to press to make it light up to show time without opening the phone.

Any of the external buttons for about 3 seconds.

For anyone left wondering about my original question, the answer is No it does not stay lit when opening the phone. I played with it in the store last night. Pushing a side button while the flip is open doesn't work.
