Speed dial bug?

by tcbarney    Jul 10, 2007, 4:08 PM

Tried a Type S for a couple of weeks, but took it back and got the Type V instead. Don't use Bluetooth, and the wimpy speakerphone on the Type S was a dealbreaker for me.

(BTW, I'm one of those people this phone was designed for - I'm in construction, and my last LG phone lasted all of 6 months. I don't like stuff stuck in my ear when I'm working, hence no BT, but if I gotta answer the phone, I need to be able to turn on the speaker and keep use of my hands. Digression over...)

Anyway, I had uploaded my contacts list from the type S to VZW's backup service, then downloaded it to the Type V.

That's fine, but when I go to set my speed dials, the pointer is off in the contacts list or something. Some entries don't show up, or the wrong number is matched with the name.

VZW says it's a bug related to the phone book download; vague on a fix. Anybody know a workaround other than deleting my entire contacts list and re-entering everything by hand?
