T509 - STILL HAPPY WITH IT

🙂

I've had the phone a few days now and it's still fun to use. The reception problems are because of where I live, not the phone itself. I have fantastic reception at my job. Also, because I take the train to and from work, T-Mobile has service at some of the underground stations which is the bomb.
The screen is great, the buttons large and easy to use and the ring volume is pretty good. I donwloated a ringtone into it a couple of days ago - not as loud as I'd like.
Overall, so far I'm happy with it.

ONE THING - no voice dialing! That is a huge item to go without. Think twice if you like the voice dialing feature. I was in the car and had to keep pressing buttons to get to the person I wanted.

NO VOICE DIALING - not good! ☹️

ANOTHER THING...reception can be spotty - was in my apartment talking on it and if I moved around to different rooms the reception was great then barely audible. Hmmmmmmm....Sad to say, I'm thinking about taking it back now because of this and because of the fact that there is no voice dialing feature. My go with the little Nokia 6010 or move on up to the HTC Tornado/SDA model. It may be too much phone for me as I really only talk to family/friends or order pizza with it.

☹️
Loved the form factor. Easy as pie on the eyes but a horror as far as reception and call clarity goes. As another poster stated in the reviews section, you can't hear what people are saying, words drop out even setting up your voicemail is a chore. I listened to it and it was choppy and almost unrecognizable.

It's a drag because I waited to get this phone and was totally disappointed because of the sound. If it had better reception, I'd still have the phone.
