I would not buy the phone before the release date. Chances are the phone is concidered stolen and they are tracking the IMEI. Second, how do they have the unlocking software already before the release date. Think about it. Plus the phone is only 49.99 with a 2yr activation at T-Mobile.

chances are you're a douche who likes to assume things they shouldn't. here is another possibility... samsung gives the phone to me directly as a reward for attending their sponsored T-Mobile Winner's CIrcle event.

:eyeroll: Do you not think management read these sites, too? Phonescoop is ON OUR FIREWALL. I know for a FACT that at the very least my RRM reads HowardForums and this site, and that people DO get fired for selling "prize" phones on the internet. I have been explicitly told by my RRM that I should not sell my old iPaq POS on ebay or anything I win through TMO online because people do and have gotten fired for it.

So if you want to take that risk, be my guest. Here I thought I was being nice by pointing out, "****, you could get fired, man."

thanks for the help, or something. pretty sure I'm not going to get fired for selling a personal possession (even if it was a gift). As long as I claim the gift on my taxes, there can be no repercussions. *IF* I got fired, hellllo unemployment... which would be nice because it would be based on my last year's earnings. cha-ching! Funny side note, we're talking about a phone I already sold 🙂

it IS being released Monday in T-Mobile retail stores, however this was more a thread for those who do not have t-mo or do not want to extend their contract 2 years (or who don't want to deal with idiots like t-mobile guy... IMEI tracking?! true, a posibility, but one that would never be followed through with for obvious cost-benefit reasons). I could overnight the phone. If there are no takers, theres always ebay.

Way too much. I can get it through T-Mobile for $25 with a 2 yr, $75 for a 1 year and $170 for the phone alone.

Another offer?

sorry, no counter offer. phone is already sold. this type of thread is really intended for people who do not have T-Mobile and/or do not want to extend their contract 2 years to get the discounts (assuming you are eligible for all the discounts).

full retail is $279.99. I don't know what store you're going through for those prices. corporate stores sell it for $49.99 w/ new 2 yr activation (or 2 yr upgrade... if eligible). $99.99 w/ a 1 yr contract. you might be dealing with an indirect dealer (hopefully you know the differences between the two). if it ends up working out for you, all the better.
