This phone is amazing. I've seen it. It's thinner than the SLVR and it's from Samsung so you know it's going to be more reliable. It doesn't have an MP3 player but the SLVR is limited by iTunes anyway. If you are looking at the SLVR just a wait a few more weeks and check this thing out too!

Without an MP3 player it would be almost pointless to put in expandable memory. As for the camera the SLVR has only a VGA camera as well. The quad band is nice but with the 1800 mhz band the phone will work in most European countries.

Everyone likes to point out the fetures this phone lacks compared to the SLVR but I'll bet it won't carry the approx. $200.00 price tage that the SLVR does. I wouldn't doubt if this device was offered for free. A great entry-level cameraphone for people who want a phone that looks as cool as a SLVR but doesn't carry the same pricetag.

Crappy knock-offs.. never does as good a job as the original..

In this case, how can you say SLVR is not reliable.. thats a perception of Motorola shared by only a few moto-haters now.. hope they see the light soon and Cingular decides to bring out the phones which have actually contributed to their ads claiming the lowest dropped calls...

This phone has no gimmicks. It has everything a phone should hve and nothing it doesn't. If someone wants an MP3 player on their phone we can show them the T809 which blows away the SLVR. As for the dropped calls thing, the leading research company that Cingular talks about in their ads claiming the fewest dropped calls has huge ties with Cingular's parent company SBC. JD Power has given T-Mobile their network satisfaction award the last two years.
