Samsung SGH-T509

Hey you all, i just got the t509 yesterday (first time user) and i'm already having problem with an icon that keeps blinking. I dont know what to do, i've tried everything and its driving me crazy. The icon looks like a msg icon but then it has a little red phone(i think) on it...........SOMEONE PLEASE HELP, WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT. 😢
