Class 1 Bluetooth
I seen that the V195 is classified as class 1 bluetooth not class 2. can any one verify this?

This is correct. The product manual, as well as other websites including motorola's all list the v195 as bluetooth class 1.

My understanding is that class 1 has the widest range.
