8100 or 8300 what\'s your pick and why?
Will be getting a new phone soon and was wondering if anyone had some first hand knowledge with both phones.

I have both in my family, my wife has the 8100 which when I upgraded I gave to her. I own the 8300. The reception on both is great here in the metro Atlanta area. The call clarity/quality is very good, I would give the edge to the 8300 based on responses from friends. The 8300 is the clear winner where size and weight is concerned. The look of the 8300 I find to be more pleasing, metallic like grey versus plasticky looking blue. The voice recognition works differently with the 8300, not sure if it is better though. It seems a touch awkward and does not clarify such as "call mobile?, call home?, call work? etc." The 8300 expects the owner (and maybe it should) to know where you will find the other such as: "Call Bob at work". Nicely said. And fair. But I hate almost all LG's cuz they put that useless "voice command" button right where my thumb wants to go. Take away that idiotic button and I'd own the 8300.
ps. Ansel Adams is the best. I have a 18 x 21 of his over my disputer right now. Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.

I paired both the 8100 previously and the 8300 recently with the Jabra JBT 350V. My experience has been very good. Calls are loud and clear with an occasional (very rare) echo that I believe is not related to the bluetooth unit but rather proximity to towers/reception/outside interference issues. Some units like some of the phones we all buy are simply defective and can be spotted pretty quickly and returned or replaced. When I originally searched for a unit for the 8100 I too sought out some opinions from others. The Verizon Wireless employees at a particular corporate store here in Georgia recommended the Motorola H500 based on number of units returned. The H500 was returned the least. A Circuit City store believed that the Logitech device...

Does the Bluetooth stay connected? My 8100 will only stay connected to Jabra, ever since v4 update.
