I know the VZN feature will be avail after June 13. If I buy a phone now, will I be able to get that feature as a free software upgrade?

No you will not have to do any software upgrade... just go into get it now on the 13th and it should be there ready for you to download..

It works on the phone as of TODAY.. They got it going a day early!!!!
