First let me say I am not one for giving a review until I have had something for quite a while. But, I am giving this one with only having this unit a short period of time because it is hard to find and my great finding so far.

Anyway, I was the very first in my area to purchase the VX8300 when if first came out. Very excited because I wanted blue tooth head set capability. That being said, I was less then impressed. We have had many discussions here about blue tooth and this phone. I don’t think anyone has been totally happy with any headset.

Thanks for your in-depth review. I have a simple question: Does the 8300 still ring/vibrate when connected to this bluetooth headset?

I'm using a Logitech right now and I'm tiring of it, but it's the first I've used that the phone still rang (cause I don't necessary want to keep the headset stuck in my ear constantly to listen for calls).

Yes it does still ring/vibrate when connected.

As an update I am still very happy with this headset. Battery life I am finding is not 6 hours. Maybe 4 - 5. Coversations are still very good. Not as good as a wired headset but still the best bluetooth headset on the market "today".

You would be very lucky to walk into a Cingular store and find that they have one in stock. I waited for around a week and finally got mine. I paid $60.00 for my Jawbone. I had a corporate account that's why I got this at such a low price. Now, I can sell my Moto H700 which was a total garbage. I think the Moto blueooth only works good with the Motorola phones. My friends have the Razr and it works great with their phone. Anyone interested in purchasing my ...
