Speakerphone/Voice Dial (old vs new tech)

Is there a way to set up this phone so you can use the speakerphone with the flip closed? This is probably the only thing I'd have a problem with in choosing this phone.

Also, is the voice dial capable of distinguishing between various numbers for one person? In other words, can I use voice dial to call someones cell, home, or office without having separate phone book entires for each?

In general, how does voice dial work on this phone? Is it like "drive mode" on my current LG (4650)? I like the old style where you press a button and merely say a name. Do you press a button, and then have to answer prompts from the phone?

I'm basically in a deadlock between the 8300 and the Samsung SCH A930 (some up with a more simple name for god'...

There's no way to use the speakerphone with it closed because the microphone is only on the inside. Which Verizon phones will allow you to do that?

With the voice dial, you can still use the single entry per person and have their cell, home, work, email, etc all in there. When using the voice dial you would say "John home" and it will recognize it. If it's not sure exactly what you said it will ask "did you say John home?" and you just say "yes". My current phone is the LG vx4650. It is from their "push to talk" line of phones except it does not have the push to talk button....it's the one with the big black single speaker at the top of the phone. So, I guess this is why it can be used this way.

So....you are able to get rid of the "please say a command" prompt and just press a buttond and say "john's cell"?????? My current phone has this via "driving mode" and I can't determine if there is a way to change it.

Yes, in store, the samsung can be used with the front closed.

Yeah you have the same phone as my brother. He never said he could do that, pretty cool. And yes you can change it to where it just beeps instead of "please say a command". In the voice commands menu it's under settings, then prompts.
