No kidding! That is so cheap! I bought mine full-retail and still thought it was a good deal. When the 8100 first came out, I bought that full-retail for $419.99!!

idiot they are talking about full retail and you are talking about promo pricing. How much would you pay for any other device (mp3 player, digital camera, navigation tools, etc....)? To get them all in one device as well as a phone for 250 bucks is a pretty amazing deal!

i'm not mary but i can answer part of your question. the mp3 player does work it is simple to use as well (especially if you have a micro sd and a card reader)
also i don't know why so many people have been saying you can only use .wav files for the phone i used .mp3s and they worked fine.

Yes, it's better than the 8100 and not just the looks, overall. And you can re-enable the MP3 player on the 8300 just like you can for the 8100.

Oh, and speaking of the $$$, I sold my 8100 for just over $250, so I really wasn't out anything at all!

i got mine for free today and no one told me that nothing fits on it the sales guy said the 8100 and the 8300 had the same power and data cable nope they are different and i can't find the new ones online cause the 8100 and the 8300 are different effin stupid

the new data cables are the same. The old ones are not. anything they come out with for the 8300 or the new 9800m will be backwards compatible with the 8100.
