yeha it woudn't work, hopefully the fianl release will have a different software version than the demo lg has been pimpin and that will make it back on, but as of now i will say no.

Both the 8000 and 8100 can view TXT MSGs on the external display.
If the 8300 can't do it, then someone needs to be fired.

kind of what i was thinking. I probably won't trade in my 8100 anytime soon because I love it, but if I did it would probably be this phone. However if they don't change that by the time its released I would stay away from it completely. text on the outside screen is great. that would just be annoying to go to a similar phone but then not have that.
