LG VX-8300
New VX coming out??
Is there an 8400 or anything due? This is a great phone but hate that we cant see messages on the csreen like our 8000....anyone have insight into an upgraded version of this due soon?

Apparently, there is nothing new coming out for a while. I think they are moving to flat phones (VX8600) & TV phones (VX9400?). You should check out the 8600. It's pretty nice

I just took back the 8600 twice due to poor sound. Both phones had a lot of noise in the back ground so now I have the 8300.

The forever usefull vx8100 came out in mid-summer 2005, vx8300 came out mid-summer 2006, I think that about late May or early June would be a good time to start looking for some info on a new version. I still have my 8100 and can't complain a bit. It still outperforms many of the new phones out. It may be a bit bulky compared to the sleek 8600, but man is it a solid phone. Not to mention the reading text messages on the outside and the use of the original LG mp3 player with the equalizer.

I have heard that the next model up from the 8300 will be the 8350. Have seen just one picture online of the back but that's it. I was thinking it would be out anyday now as I bought my 8300 a little over a year ago now but haven't heard a thing yet.

I love the 8300 best verizon phone in my opinion. But a 8350 candybar phone i would love. Slider never 4 me, i think there garbage!!

If you google search "LG VX-8350" there are a few sites showing that the F.C.C. approved something for LG, but that's it. There's a picture of the back of a phone model that's the same shape as the 8300 but without the stub antennae and speakers on the back, but it was an awful salmon color- probably pre-painted. So, mabe LG is updating the 8300 after all.
