Does anyone know if it is possible to lock the camera button on the side? every time I get the phone out of my purse the camera is almost always on and draining battery.

Not that I know of, I take pictures in my pocket all the time. You might get a carry case, one that makes it so the camera button is somewhat lower on the surface maybe?
