My friend has this phone and I heard the ringtones on it and it sounds way good! You can hear the ringers crisp clear and VERY loud! The Hi Fi ringers are usually muffled with most phones, but with this model there isn't any problem.
Also, I notice this phone is currently online in white, however, my friend went to the t-mobile store and got a black one.

Oh you know what, I just looked up the T309 and it looks exactly like my friends, you're so right! Do you know how the ringtones sound on this phone, the T609? Because I really am thinking about ordering this one as an upgrade from my current T-Mobile phone.

One of the reviewers calls the phone ugly... probably not a big deal if it is but is functional. It does seem, though, that someone at T-Mobile has an odd eye for style.. the V360 and other phones have gotten the same criticism, mainly for color choice.
