headphone to auto jack convertion
Anyone know, can I just cut into the headphone cord and splice it into an auto cable? I want to use the phone as an MP3 player for my car also...Anyone know, or does that auto cable have more connected to it that goes into the controller that is on the cord?

Is it just an 1/8th inch stereo jack (that's what I use for my car)? If so, I would imagine that it could be accomplished, but don't ask me to go into the details. 🙂
The only question would be how much power the phone puts out through the headphones, and would it be enough that the sound would be ok going to the receiver (again, my guess is that this would not be a problem, but I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination).
I guess the only way to know for sure would be to try it. 🙂
