I did an experiment today with the Cingular 3125. I downloaded and installed "Bluecast" for my device. It is an app that claims to be able to stream all your handsets audio (mp3's streaming audio, etc) to a standard bluetooth headset. This is great cause I hate those stereo headsets. I tried it out and it works AWESOME!!! Well worth the $10 to get the full version. I also listen to streaming radio using mindows media player (www.thestreamcenter.com/pda). I wanted to see how long my battery would last streaming audio to my device and to my bluetooth headset. Starting on a fully charged headset and phone I was able to stream for a full 2 hours. This doesn't seem too bad considering the constant data stream and the constant bluetooth stream. I'...

Crazy. That is really nice. 🙂 I'm getting a 512MB card tomorrow, so I'm pretty geek'd. 🙂

Yes it can stream through a regular non-stereo bluetooth headset. I do it every day and it works great. Now, please don't expect great audio quality thats the trade off for not looking totally stupid wearing those HUGE stereo bluetooth headsets. I walk aroound wearing my normal Motorola H700 and I'm listening to streaming radio or my mp3's in one ear and I can still hear whats going on in the world with the other ear. Just remember to find the "Bluecast" app for your smartphone, it works great! Also make sure you have a charger wherever you go, your batt will only last 2 hours with radio streaming over bluetooth, longer when streaming mp3's.
