This is the CINGULAR 3125!!!!

I just spoke to our Data rep and this phone is comming to Cingular as the 3125!!! The main difference is that it it will have external music controls!!! 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁

Main difference between what? All of them have external music controls (Qtek 8500, i-Mate Smartflip, Dopod S300, and the original - the HTC Star Trek if they ever really produce that).

However it is too difficult to change memory cards because they located the thing under the SIM card which itself is under the battery, plus the connector is proprietary so none of our existing headphones are going to fit it. Of course you can go buy a bluetooth stereo headset these days or use their supplied earbuds but it sure would be nice to be able to connect the headphones of our choice and also to be able to have multiple memory cards with music on them. I sure don't know why they made it so hard to play music since they took the trouble to incl...

I neglected to take a second look at the phone for to see the external music controls 😲 . But this phone is now listed on the Cingular MIR forms.

Personally, I don't mind the memory cards being so internal. I don't change that often. I can certainly make do with a 2gb memory. Now, I know some people like to carry their entire 30 gb, cd collection with them, but I'm okay if I can just have a little variety, and can change it very easy by syncing different playlists.
