Hot Battery
Has anyone had any problems with the phone getting hot. I put in a new micro sd card and now the phone gets very hot and drains the battery.

I've had this phone since Sept 2006 and suddenly now in December, my battery is draining within 5 hours by itself even though the phone is idle. I do find it gets hot sometimes, but not all the time. I am going to contact cingular and find out what's going on. i'll post a reply when i find out.

I had the exact same thing happen to me just after installing my MicroSD card. I left the phone alone for a bit and when I picked it up again the phone was hot to the touch and my battery was near dead.
I surmise that my SD card shorted and was a direct (and rapid) drain on the battery which results in the heat. I went back to my Cingular dealer and they replaced my SD card (didn't seem surprised either) and threw in a new battery too. My problem is now my SD card seems to only show up when it feels like it. Not very useful.
