Fast forward/rewind movies?

by lariater    Mar 17, 2008, 6:06 AM

Sometime ago I put a 3GP movie on my phone just to see what it would look like, and I was impressed in the same way that a dancing bear impresses (you know this one, don't you?): it isn't so much that he dances well, but that he dances at all.

So I could watch a movie. But there was no way of fast forwarding, or pausing while doing something else, or returning to where I'd stopped watching previously.

So I keep Pixar's "Red's Dream" on my phone just to show people how nice it looks at 320x240.

But I just spotted the "FF/Rew Interval" setting in the Media Player and that got me wondering whether I'd missed something.

If that setting is only for audio files, then why isn't it under the Music Player instead? And if it's for videos, how do I trigger it?

The instruction manual is, of course, absurdly useless. Maybe it works for mp4s?
