What type of data cable does the Nokia 6126 use? I need to make sure, because I'm thinking of getting one off of eBay.

It uses a CA-53 cable.

You can also use a DKU-2. That's what I'm using and it works perfectly. I had it for a previous Nokia phone and it works with the 6126 also.

I know that it uses the same data cable that the 6682 uses, which is sweet because I just got my fiancee the 6126 and now we can share the same cord.

I'm glad to hear your fianceé and you can use the same data cable. I recently found out that the Nokia 6126 and the 6102i use the exact same charger. So, if one dies on me, I can use the other one.

Ah, okay. Thank you for clarifying that. My Nokia 6126 is starting to not function. ☹️ Do you recommend that I get another Nokia brand device or try a different model? I love Nokia. I have had several Nokias that have taken drops quite well. They acted like nothing went wrong.

Hey Callie--

What do you mean by "starting to not function."?!

thanks!

The speakers in the earpiece and on the side are not functioning well, because they're not connected enough. What I mean by that is that the housing is not tightly in place. There is a piece missing on the top of the flip.

I would take it back and exchange it for a new one. If this one completely dies, I'm going to either switch to another brand, or I will get another Nokia device.

Callie--
Maybe I missed previous posts, but is the 6126 falling apart due to plastic parts, was it dropped, does it not hold up to use!? Is the plastic housing poorly designed/manufactured?
I guess you have had it more than 30 days?!

I have had mine for more than 30 days. I have dropped it several times and the phone acts like nothing happened. Everything works perfectly. However, I have dropped mine and it has landed pretty hard, enough to make the internal display turn black while the phone is still on. It's just my phone. This phone in general is great, but the battery life is horrible.

Thanks for the 6126 opinion/information on the review page.........

How is the ear piece volume and quality?

Is the 6126 been "branded/labelded" ATT?

Found Nokia's good in the past except for some sound concerns with the 6102.

Thanks!

I have the "Cingular" branded one, personally. The sound is better, as are many of the features. It does take the same headsets and USB cords as the 6102, 6682, and others. {I was wrond to say that it didn't}. You'll enjoy the phone, and the simplicty, therein!
