Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133
Coming to Cingular
I work for Cingular and we just word that this phone will drop on July 5th (which might change) but will retail for $249 flat out or $149 (no rebate) with a contract, hope this helps out, Ive seen the phone and it looks to be the best Nokia (non-smart phone) to hit these shores in a long time.

The V3i is basically a RAZR with iTunes, a megapixel camera, and an expansion memory slot, and the external display has been updated from 4K to 65K colors. The 6126 on the other hand, has a 16.7 million color display screen, EDGE capabilities, has the camera, external memory and can still be used as an MP3 player. I have seen the Nokia and it is a nice phone, I have usually never liked Nokia for there vanilla styling but this is actually a good looking phone with Nokia reliability. Hope this helps.

Is reception with the internal antenna worse than one with the antenna protruding from the phone?

Spoke with Cingular today and they said they show the phone as "going to be available" but that there were no current open orders for the 6126 and it would most likely not be available for another month or more.
I don't know if this is just a mis-informed person or Cingular's policy but it doesn't sound encouraging.

I talked to one of my local Cingular stores and they said they had no ETA on the phone...just to keep checking which IMO could mean next week or next year!
The wait is soooooo infuriating 😡 . Why can't they just announce a drop date for the stores?
And why do these ETA games (my opinion/perception) have to be played?
