Love this phone ( 6131). But does anyone else that has it have any issues with the voicemail notification? I don't get the little icon on my screen when I get one.

I don't have any problems, but some people on Cingular do. It seems to be a regional issue. On T-mobile it works.

hmmm that sucks. Great phone, the 6131 is, and I do get great reception too, damn icon! 👿 Yea I have Cingular and I am in Denver, Colorado. Well hopefully there will be a fix somewhere along the line. 🙂

Do you have one of the new sims, or is yours old? Cingular is going through a system change and is you have an old sim it may work with the new sim. I don't know if that will help, but you can always try.

I can give that a shot. When did they start changing out the sims? My sim card is from December 2005

Ca. and with Cingular. I was in touch with Cingular and Nokia about this, and both don't know why the voicemail Icon does not work.
I have the newer 64k sim thats about 6 months old. Maybe the new 3g sim? I don't know why a sim would make a difference. I have used the same sim in other phones and no problems.

I think it's a software issue. Kinda pisses me off because I've had lots of unlocked motorola phones and never had that issue or the MMS issue I am having as well.

😉 Call Cingular customer service and have them add the feature code for the voice mail icon. It does not matter what type of sim you have

Calling cingular and asking them for help on a unlocked phone is like talkiing to a brick wall. They don't understand, or just dont care.

they don't need to know what kind of phone you have. or if is locked or unlocked just to add the voice mail icon feature code
