ESPN mobile is its own service, it cannot be used with existing Sprint service, so switching to ESPN would be the same as swithcing to any other carrier such as verizon or cingular

nope your wrong guys. it is an espn phone but it uses sprint as its service provider. you can use it with your regular sprint account but you will need to change your plans to one of the custom mvp plans. they arent too bad actually. its a cool lookin phone too.

Umm sorry to the guy who says sprint users can get this phone for a price upgrade or whatever, you cannot use this phone if you are a sprint customer, you have to subscribe to mobile espn which is NOT affiliated with Sprint, you can check with sprint on this, if you want this phone, you have to subscribe to ESPN mobile service, which is by no means CHEAP.

The ESPN service is seperate from Sprint. ESPN has an agreement to use the Sprint network but ESPN is its own carrier.

Pretty much the same as Virgin Mobile. They use Sprint's network but are their own Pre-paid company.

you are correct. I have had the phone for two weeks now and the phone is awsome and I am talking about the phone itself, not the ESPN feature. Clear calls easy navigation have not dropped a call yet in the San Antonio area.
