Another question...Firmware update process?

I really want to get this phone, but the talk of problems with Cingular have me worried. I remember reading somewhere, can't remember where, that this phone was able to do FW upgrades over the air; is this true? I'm just trying to figure out how much more money, and time, I'd have to invest to upgrade FW; cable, software, etc.

On a side note, I assume the proprietary connector is unchanged? I have the SE desk charger for my S710a that I'd like to use with the W810i.

Thanks.

I received my phone on Friday and I use Cingular. I simply inserted my sim card and charged the battery. Has worked flawlessly. This phone has much better reception than my razr. No dropped calls as of yet.

Yes there is an update but it is not over the air it is through SEUS. I made the upgrade today it was easy.

But I have had no problems with dropped calls on Cingular either. I am in the Seattle, WA area. Very good rf.

Cheers,
