Yep sure it was the w810 also see that it's selling over seas on certain web sites. Close to a 599-1000 for price on some of them.. To high for me.

No way. It either has to be a w800, or a preproduction version of the w810 that is sent to developers all over to try and fix the bugs that are on it before they get produced. At this stage, there will be no w810 that aren't preproduction versions, which will most likely be riddled with bugs and problems. I'd err on the cautious side if you want to buy one of these phones, because I'm positive they'd be one of the buggy versions sent to developers....and since you don't see these phones even though they may be buggy that explains the steep price tag. I'd just wait until the release date...because at least the production version will have a warranty.

It only has two primary us carrier it could go to. And no, T-Mobile's not one of them. Sony Ericsson already has contracts with Cellular One and Cingular. The only other carrier they worked with now belongs to Cingular. Plus Cingular is highly pushing the music phones from the Rokr to the Slvr, don't think they would miss the jump from the W600i to the W810i knowing the profit that coulod be made off it like they are making off teh Slvr.

Unfortunately T-Mobile is absolutely out of the question. Sony Ericsson America has an exclusive contract with only one tier 1 carrier: Cingular. Thus, if you want this phone you have to be with Cingular....no if's ands or buts.

Cingular isn't allowing it, it's just happeneing. There are many third party companies out there that will unlock a phone for a small fee. The only way cingular will ever unlock a phone for you is if you have been active on their network for more than 90 days and have a good credit score.
