I read in a few places that a 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo will work with this phone. Has anyone tried and does it really work? I just ordered this phone and would love to get rid of my Mp3 player and use the phone so that I only have to carry one device with me. Oh please, someone say that it really works!! 🙂

I heard it does work, but it drains the battery life...but, I'm not sure how badly it drains it.

Yes 4GB MSPD does work and I'm using one right now. Tons of mp3 music, video clips(even 1 full lenght movie) to contain. About the unusual battery drain, I don't seem to notice it nor that I care when I'm having fun with this phone. I mean its routine for me everyday to recharge the batter anyway.

Carrying one device?...thats where W810i shines...an all-in-one phone. Enjoy.. 🙂

I got a 60GB video iPod a couple of months ago and I can't see myself using my W810 instead of it. I fear that I'll run out of juice when I really need to make a phone call. Same goes for gaming. I was playing PAC-MAN on my old phone for hours and I got a call and my battery died after 5 minutes of talking.

So I carry my PSP, iPod, and my W810 around with me in this awesome neon-pink fanny pack that I got in the '80s and I keep the phone mainly for calls. And pictures!

You will really be surprised how long the battery will last in these phones. I've used my 2GB card full of music for over two hours straight and received a few calls during the same session. The battery still went on for another two days. Much better than an iPod battery but not quite the storage..

That's why I am excited about geting this phone. I am sick of carrying so many devices every day. I stopped carrying my Mp3 player with me because of the hassle. It'll be nice to have one device that does it all. I can't wait until arrives!! Thanks everyone for your replies!! 😉

I believe it will, at the very least, the 2GB works.

As for battery drain, my battery would drain about 15-20% overnight with the 2GB card vs about half that with the 512MB card. HOWEVER, I just upgraded my firmware from R4D to R4E and the drain problem seems to be solved. Last night the phone went from 94% to 92%.
