Help! How do i change the main menu icons to the psp inspired ones?
Hi, i got my w810i a few days ago and watched the phonescoop review for the phone and noticed the main menu icons were different to the ones on my phone. I was wondering, how do you get those black and white icons because i cant find out how to from anywhere else âšī¸

nope, at the bottom of the phone it just has the walkman logo, but when i start phone up it displays virgin mobile- does this mean its branded by a carrier?

The theme you're looking for is called Orbit. It came with my phone but some are saying it's not on theirs. Google "my w810i themes", that should point you in the right direction. If you happen to find it, look in the "original walkman" category. I don't think we're allowed to post links for stuff like that? i think you have to check it through winrar, i found this message on a website that tells you how to find it but im not sure how to because i'm only 13 =]
the flash file is embedded into the firmware of unbranded w810's. If you look at the equalizer theme through winrar, and check out the xml, you'll see it will be pointing to a .swf file that's not included in the theme. Any theme can have that menu, as long as the phone's firmware has it, and you tell the theme to use it.

I noticed that mine has an actual software update. Maybe you could try that? It's under settings and the option is called "Update Service". Not sure if that's our win but it's worth a shot? I tried it and says I have the latest software. See what yours does.

I recently bought a non-branded w810i off of eBay and the flash menu did not show up as shown in the review for me as well. After some digging I found that my phone shipped with the firmware from China(!). To check this press Right-Arrow,*,Left-Arrow,Left-Arrow,*,Left-Ar row,* then goto service info -> software info (where the arrows are the center nav buttons and the * is the star key at the bottom). Using DaVinci I was able to change the region code to my location, update it to the latest firmware and filesystem for my region, and now the menus look as advertised! A bit of warning though, updating the filesystem will completely reset the phone and you will lose all data. Also, at one point I did try the update service, but this still did no...
