Unfortunately for you, yes. Sony Ericsson has contracts with Cingular only for tier 1 cariers.

I purchased this phone overseas and am now using T-Mobile with the phone without an issue. I don't know if they will offer it but purchasing the phone unlocked would be another option.

I saw the phone using T-Mobile service in the review and I was so freakin excited. I can't wait til comes out!!! I'm savin up now. LoL. :~)

You can find this phone in certain stores in NYC and they have it for around $200 with the T-Mobile service.

what stores are you talking about? I would be really interested in getting an SE w810i for $200. Please tell us what stores in NYC sell it for that price. Thanks very much

Well, if you live in the NYC area there is a free newspaper everyday and there is an add in it. I think it is in AMNewYork and also in the Metro. Anyway, the store is called Wireless Time. If you google it, it should come up. I wrote down the number somewhere but I lost it. Check it out. Let me know what you think. Later 😎

only for t-mobile UK but in the US it might be sold from cingular for about $450 no contract.

Yo, check out the other thing I wrote here. Search for the store name and call them up. I just saw the ad again this morning. I'm telling you there are always ways to get what you want without being at the mercy of a company.
