Yes, I know I sound like a n00b but UMA just sounds like it pwns. Also, am I the only person stunned by the domestic dual bands on this phone? For such a cool sounding phone--midrange in Europe, well okay, akin to the firefly--I would've expected it to be quadband.
I think that saying that UMA runs on a frequency might be a little misleading. From what I understand about the technology, it could used by plugging an ethernet cable into the phone (if it had that port). At this time, the only UMA compatible phones available run on 2.4 GHz because that is what 802.11b/g runs on.
Plugging it in via cable might not be a bad plan either, since I have heard that running Wifi on this phone drains the battery very quickly.
