hey everyone, i wanted to ask what everyone thought of this phone who currently owns one. i have been wanted a slider that is really good for the past few months. i know how this phone feels and looks because my roommate has the t809 for tmobile. i just signed up with cingular this weekend and picked up the razr v3. so far i am happy with the v3 the only things i don't like about the v3 are the low earpiece volume and very week vibrate. also not a phane of the moto UI. i wanted to see if this sammy would campare to the moto in terms of battery life and reception is it better or worse? all replies would be helpful.

The phone looked and felt great. However I was disappointed with the ear piece volume. I tested no other features other than ear piece volume. This would discourage me from the phone as I want a phone first.

once i turned up the earpiece volume, it wasnt an issue for me. i like the phone alot, and the reception is fine. my roommate has the v3 and we both pretty much get 4-5 bars at all times around here. the vibrate is stronger than i expected from a thin phone also. still trying to figure out some small things, but i like it so far.

There's a delay when typing text messages between the "beep" and the actual press of your finger on the keypad. It drives me CRAZY and makes texting confusing, unless you block out the 'beep' noise (which you shouldn't have to, it should help you). Only phone I've had with this problem.

I traded in a SLVR for a SGH-D807 for the same reason, I hated the Motorola UI.

I don't think either the SLVR or this Samsung have a particularly strong vibrate. Certainly not as strong as my Sony phone.

I only had the SLVR for two days so I can't comment on battery life. It is hard to say anyway because I am mucking about with the phone a lot since it is new. I am sure when I get used to it and stop playing with it all the time the battery will go farther.

I have not had any problems with the reception of either. My gut says the Samsung is a bit better.

I had it for a week, if that; and quickly ditched it for the Nokia 6682.
