Samsung SGH-D807 / D806
Should have done research before...
i bought this phone online, upgrading from my motorola V557. the phone looked good, and i liked it so i ordered it, and didnt even think of reading customer reviews because they dont have any on cingular.com. After paying and ordering the phone i found this website and saw a lot of complaints about service. They do not have this phone in stores in my area. Is there a reason they dont? Does anyone have this phone in the CT area and if u do, how is is the service??

I am in CT and have the D807. The service from Cingular is very good compared to Nextel service which I used to have. Call drops in southern CT never happens. I have seen drops in the Litchfield hills from time to time, but for the most part the service is great.
The phone itself is very good as well. I have had it for about six months and only have one complaints. The speaker volume (with speaker phone or without) is to low. As a former Nextel user, I am used to having a phone that is really LOUD. The d807 I have to put on speaker and hold to my ear if I am in an area with a lot of noise. In the car I suggest getting a bluetooth headset, not only because handsfree is the law in CT, but it's just hard to hear without it.
