Does anyone know how and if the main display light on the front can be shut off? It is always on. Doesn't this strain the battery?

i have already researched this. it is an OLED the O is for organic. there is only few colors that are organic led's, blue or green. maybe some others too. the organic led's do not draw enough power for you to even worry about. i don't use my phone much and i can have it on for days without charging. don't worry about turning it off, if you need to consider that then charge your phone when it gets low because you talk alot on your phone.
