Help i've had this phone for 2 weeks and im getting frustrated.

1. while the phone is closed is there way, to change it so when someone calls you it displays the # on the screen b4 you open it?
2. The phone is set to vibrate but when i get a txt message is vibrates multiple times any way to change this?
3. How do i erase all txt's instead of doing it 1 by 1?
4. While the phone is closed what does EV 1x mean?
5. Silly and stupid question but how much does it cost to use aol instant messenger?

I have a vx8300 but I will try my best to answer your questions since they have the same UI:
1. The name of the person in your phonebook should appear on the OLED display. If the number isn't in your phonebook, the number should appear on the OLED display.
2. Don't know the answer to that question.
3. Go to messages then options and scroll to erase all.
4. EV 1X is your service. The 1X represents your basic Verizon service and reception. The EV represents VCast service. If you flip your phone open and look at the reception, you will see there are two indicators for your service, EV and underneath it is 1X. If EV isn't available, you will see only the 1X.
5. AIM costs you your text messages.

the phone does not display phone #'s at all its like the caller id is not working, when someone calls all i get is * Unknown *.
How do i get the phone # of the person to show up? I tested another thing i entered a phone # into my contact list had that person call and the phone did the same thing said it was * unknown call * ??? 👿

Thank you im allset i called verizon wireless...
just called them if you do it thru online you, need to talk to someone and have your old features moved to the new phone!!
My last bill went from $55 to $78 because my features were never added to the new phone reason why my caller ID and voicemail were never active i never even knew! but all fixed and dandy now
