Device not detected...

So I installed my music essentials kit. Installed the usb drivers *before* plugging the phone in. After the drivers were installed I plugged my phone in, went into media player, went to the sync tab and all I get is "no device has been detected". When I go to sync music in the phone it will bring up a found new hardware wizard. Then it will search for software but it wont find any even with the cd in. Tried calling tech support, didnt get very far with that. Any tips, suggestions??? Anyone else with this prob?

What version of windows are you using? What version of Windows Media Player?

Windows XP and Windows media player 10.

When the found new hardware dialog comes up and if fails, it should at some point give you the option to manually load the driver. I would try to load the USB driver from the VCast CD manually.
