PLEASE ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS

I just got this phone and i got a couple questions hopefully you can answer at least some. Thanks.

1. Lets say some calls and the number appears 619-555-1492 and i have it saved on my contacts as 555-1492 how come the name dosent show of the front LCD? Does that happen to any of you or just mine? Does it have to have the 619(area code)??

2. My calculator sucks!!! It can only add, subtract, etc. up to 9 characters!! I can add, etc. up to 9 characters in my head!! Is it the same with all A930's or just mine?????

3. Is there a way to make the date stay on like the time on the front LCD??

4. Is there a way to delete all speed dials at once????

5. Has anyone had both this phone and the LG 9800 or V???

1. Yes, the area code does matter. Because if your home area code is 619, and you go to a place with a different area code (lets say...81😎, if the number that you dial doesn't have 619 in front of it, it'll dial 818-xxx-xxxx. But once you have the actual area code of the phone number, the name will always appear. But w/o the area code, you could be in a different state, and it'll still just dial the number.

2. I've never had to add more than 9...

3. I haven't gotten it to work like that yet...not that i've played around with it tons...

4. I had to do it separately...

You shoud always put the area code in your contacts. What if you are out of your home area? Your dialing would nto work without the area code.

Let's reverse this a bit... What if you had two contacts - 615-555-1212 and 212-555-1212 - how would your phone know which one to display if the area code was not in there?

Not that I know of, but you can just hold one of the up/down keys on the side for just a second and it will come one. Will show missed calls/messages if ther are any.

No, but I did choose the a930 for a reason. I am not a big fan of LG phones. The VX-9800 and V are really a different phones alltogether, not directly competing with ...
