Phone is GREAT!!! any one know if you can make mp3s ringtones?

You need to buy the Verizon music software to transcode mp3 files into wma... the phone will NOT support mp3 format but will play once in windows media format...

Once the file is in wma format.... is it possible to save them as a ringtone??? Or do you know a way to save personal recordings as ringtones?? (I am sure these things have been discussed... just thought I would ask)

Xilisoft 3GP Video Converter and Xilisoft MP3 WAV Converters work great for getting the data correct for the phone. The phone takes .pmd ringtones like prior Samsung models. I am having great luck with the multimedia w/ a 1GB card as well. Bit PM will manually work by selecting a a950 but you have to set it every time and you get the basic access to calendar, phonebook, tones, pics, etc.

It works as in the past, convert to .pmd and you can use latest BitPM (manually set as an a950 until they update)and load them there.(Data cables from a670s work as well.... My answer to software is the older a670 forums on yahoo etc.

Okay... I tried the process which you described which seemed easy! I used Wavepad software to edit my ringtone and when I was ready to save my ringtone in my sounds it was succesful. Now the ringtone came up in my sounds on my phone itself but when I set it as a rt it also also worked it even played. The bummer is when I tested the ringtone (called my own phone) the default ringtone played instead of my ringtone, for some reason it keeps going to default??? did I go wrong somewhere? any suggestions would really help!!!
