6102i (Cingular) would it work in Israel?

Would the 6102i from Cingular work in Israel? If so, would it roam with Orange (IL).

Is there a way to switch frequencies so it would work in Europe as well? It's been a while since I used a Nokia, so does the old *3001+12345# still work to change frequencies?

I would think that as long as there is GSM service there, you should have no problems. Modern Nokia's shift frequencies automaticly. Is your carrier doing business in Israel, if so then no problem, if not, then you may be able to get a prepayed sim card, or service thru a provider there.
