Nokia 6103 / 6102i
cell phone unlocking problem

my uncle bought this set nokia 6102i in united states and according to him, he asked the person from where he bought the set to give him a set that would work fine in pakistan... When i opened up this site and read the specs... i found that it would work fine in gsm900 mode... anyways tried my sim in it, and the cell was locked so i had to pay to unlock it.. now that it's unlocked, it doesn't recieve any signals...
Now i don't know wat to do with it...Please lemme know how to fix it and if fixing is not possible then plz atleast tell me the problem with it.
