Initial thoughts on cg225
Things I like so far:
--Ergonomically comfortable to hold and talk on
--pretty good build quality
--call quality seems excellent so far. Probably more clear and natural than my Sprint phone. Also, good range of volumes in the earpiece.
--phone keeps track of minutes and kilobytes you've used. You can reset the counters at any time.
--battery life is excellent
--camera is typical for a lower end camera phone...it could be worse.
Things I don't like:
--The main menu is ugly and can not be changed (it is grid style)
--you can't adjust the earpiece volume until an outbound call has actually connected. So, if you place a call and the ring sound is too loud, you can't lower volume. You have to wait until the person you are calling picks up to adjust the volume.
--Similarly, you can't activate the speaker phone until a call has connected. So you have to wait until the person you are calling picks up before turning on speaker phone.
Also, after some experimenting, I am finding the call quality for the person on the other end of the call to be questionable. I am not sure if this is the phone or the Cingular network. While everything sounds great for the person talking on the cg2...
