No I-TUNES!
Motorola definately kicked i-Tunes to the Curb for this installment of the Rokr. Good idea too, customers didn't like the idea that they had to buy music throught i-tunes to put on their Rokr. Not only that, but the ammount of time it took to trasfer files to the E1 was painfully slow. I look for the E3 to have WCDMA (UMTS) to round out the series...

Eh, I wouldn't say that iTunes was the problem. I'd say it was more of an attraction to the phone, but with the 100 song limit, plus USB 1.1 being the only way to get the songs on the phone (why not Bluetooth?!?!), plus the fact that the phone was so uninspired in it's design. iTunes would defintely be a plus to any phone - IF it had no song limit. Moto would still be able to salvage a great phone if they could reach an agreement w/Apple.

Actually, the ROKR E2 will ship to different carriers with different music players, including iTunes. If it comes to Cingular, that version will probably have iTunes.

i said it already.....no itunes t-mobile yesir!!!. my guess is they will get it a year late though.
personally i think it should be a cingular exclusive since the 1st rokr wasn't t-mobile bound. and now that i think about it it probally will a cingy exclusive in america and sold to everyone overseas.

I have an E1 and i transfered all my ripped mp3s from my computer to my phone (granted it took FOREVER, stupid usb 1.1) but i didn't have to buy a single song from itunes (i never will) to be compatible with the E1....
The E1 is just my backup phone, and i like my Audiovox SMT 5600 much much more..i am saving up for the Cingular 2125, i can't wait..
