I've got this phone 2 weeks ago for $280 with T-Mobile this phone is cool, but when you turn it on its in chinese till you set it to english. The FM radio only work with wired head phone not the bluetooth on the back of the box the motorola HT820 stereo headset (got it for nothing) but I've got a plantronics voyager 510 now works great.

Where did you find this phone for $280?? I really want one, but need more info on it. Do you have to use the little pen to dial numbers or can u just use fingers. How is it working for you so far. Also, is the earpiece on the plastic cover? It looks badass.

I live in Mississippi and am looking for one that's unlocked or I can use with Cingular. How much are they just to buy?

349 and up. I am with Cingular as well. The guy I was talking to today from Cingular said it worked perfectally with Cingular. There are no discounts available, unless the site you are trying to buy it from is holding a sale. The places to buy it can be found on the "Shop" tab above. Two of the links led to pages that had it in stock, the third said it was not sold, either anymore or just out of stock. It said discontinued, but the other two sites have it. 349 was the sale price on one of them, 362 was, I think, the regular price on the other. Hope this helps.

I, likewise paid $280 for it - but I had to reup my T-Mobile contract for 2 yrs. Eh. I'm not planning on changing plans anytime soon.

I got the chargers (wall and car), data cable and CD, & a leather case for the price. Had to go shopping for the wired headset and bluetooth HS.

As far as finding phones for that price range, You need to find a dealer in your area who does imported phones. None of the domestic carriers have signed onto carrying them.

Another option would be to check out eBay. There are plenty of new and used phones being sold there.

Don't see why not. As long as there's a Mac version of Motorola's Phone Tools for the Mac, there shouldn't be any problems. It uses the same software as the RAZR, ROKR, SLVR, KRZR, PEBL and all other Moto phones.

The software will ask you to plug the phone in at the appropriate time and will then connect and identify the phone.

I think they gave me the PC version which may not work with a mac. I told them I had a mac but I guess it didn't get through. Do you think that is the problem?

It's not going to be released un the US. Moto has stated that it is an asian market only phone and will not be comeing to the U.S. You can order it online tho as an import. But 280 is a steal! Its going for about 600 bucks unlocked w/o service

Try about $350 - give or take pretty much anywhere. Still, $280 with a 1 yr contract extension is great.

You're right. It hasn't been released in the US. And probably will never be, officially.

But there's this thing called the "Gray Market" - where it's not exactly illegal to import (black market) something that was intended for somewhere else in the world, was not intended for local consumption and gets imported anyway. The A1200 is a GREAT example of gray market commerce.

(sarcasm)Damn Motorola - they made a phone so damn good they couldn't keep it confined to Hong Kong! (/sarcasm)

And btw, if you check the front page of this review, you'll s...
