are we talking about the ability to simply transmit downloaded songs from the music store and/or our own music...?

or will we be able to transmit streaming radio like sirius as well?

I would presume that you could use the FM transmitter to transmit any music you could play directly from the phone, not just songs from the music store. I.e. if you had MP3s on your Transflash card, you could send them to the fm transmitter.

Another post in this forum said that they had read that you couldn't send music streamed from sirius to the FM transmitter, but he was somewhat skeptical whether it was true.

It's not.

It allows you to transmit any music on your phone to your car radio. sort of like the ipod with an iChip.

so unless you have Sirius built into the phone (99% sure that it doesn't), you will not be able to transmit.

Sure Sirius isn't built into the phone, but you should be able to subscribe to and download it.

What I think happens, and as I've yet to see the phone in person, is that due to the power requirement of transmitting fm stereo it may turn off the cellular radio at that time. Therefore, no vision access to get the sirius music to stream. else id guess youd have a nice cool 30 minute toy 🙂

Sirius is part of the Power Vision package. You may subscribe to additional channels for a monthly fee. However you will not be able to transmit Sirius via the FM transmitter
